About
I am an ecologist interested in the patterns and processes that structure biodiversity around the world. My research examines how human activities restructure ecological systems, from local changes within ecological communities to the global distribution of environmental impacts.
My research combines field ecology, large-scale ecological data, and computational and statistical approaches to study spatial ecology, biodiversity, land use, and resource production. Alongside understanding how ecological systems work and respond to anthropogenic change, I am interested in how societies can improve human welfare while conserving and using nature efficiently.
I am currently a postdoctoral scholar in Earth System Science at the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability. I received my PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University and my BS in Biological Sciences from Cornell University.
